The EDA approved multiple items related to Superior National at Luden: employment agreements for four salaried staff reflecting a 3% cost‑of‑living adjustment and a clause tying appointment to any sale; a winter operations plan to maintain clubhouse and restaurant operations; and a professional services agreement with Mike Larson to continue management and to handle sale‑related oversight through May 1, 2026 and, where required, to manage irrigation and septic projects beyond that date.
Board members praised Mike Larson’s ongoing role in navigating the sale process. Staff reported due diligence on the buyer’s offer was set to expire Dec. 19, 2025; key outstanding issues include irrigation repairs and septic work, and staff expected an extension to allow completion of those items. Commissioners said sale proceeds minus bond payoff are expected to cover necessary project work but emphasized continued oversight.
All Superior National resolutions passed by roll call vote. Staff will execute agreements, continue due diligence and keep the board apprised of any changes to sale timing or project scope.
