Iowa Falls Board approves multiple hires, records several resignations and OKs open enrollments

The Iowa Falls Board of Education approved a consent agenda on June 10 that included multiple personnel actions, accepted several resignations and approved a set of open-enrollment requests.

The board voted 4-0 to approve new contracts listed in the consent agenda, including Allison Smith as an elementary counselor (shared with Alden), Amy Hutchinson for individual speech services, Meg Sanders as food service director (shared with Alden), and a range of coaching and supervisory positions such as middle school and high school coaches, yearbook sponsor and event managers. The personnel approvals were part of the consent package that the board approved by motion (Parker moved; Robison seconded).

The consent agenda also recorded and accepted resignations from staff including Scott and McKade Eisentrager (middle school football coaches), Mark Albrecht (middle school wrestling), Aly Rabe (middle school volleyball) and other school associates and coaches. The board approved routine personnel transfers and leave-related adjustments, including Tim Anderson moving from high-school custodian to food-truck route driver and Kenlie Vaughn increasing to a 1.0 full-time equivalent position as a PV associate.

The board approved multiple open-enrollment requests from area districts, including transfers from AGWSR, Aplington-Parkersburg and Belmond-Klemme (some enrollments pending resident-district approval), and several student moves classified as family moves. These open-enrollment approvals were recorded as part of the consent agenda.

The board took no separate roll-call votes on individual hires; the full consent agenda was approved unanimously (4-0).
