Lamont — The Lamont City Council voted Wednesday to authorize the Fire Department to sell a 1992 Lifeline van for $2,500, the minutes show.
Fire Chief Cook reported the department was ready to sell the 1992 Lifeline van. Councilmember Devlin moved to authorize the sale and Behrens seconded; council members Burington, McTaggart, Lamphier, Behrens and Devlin voted in favor and the motion carried.
The City Clerk was directed to place a notice in the next utility billing newsletter for interested buyers. The minutes also record Fire Chief Cook reported three medical calls and two storm-watch responses since the prior meeting and that the department had sent its tanker truck to McDowell's for a water-pump replacement.
No sale transaction was recorded in the minutes; the meeting record documents only council authorization to offer the van for sale and the directive to advertise the opportunity.
