He highlighted that the district operates nine bus routes (with additional route extensions on peak days), has received multiple deliveries of battery‑electric and hybrid vehicles over recent years, and is approaching roughly half the fleet in some form of electrified vehicles. Staff also said the district ranked first in state performance indicators for the fourth consecutive year, attributing that to service efficiencies and grant administration.
Board members asked about summer extensions and service to regional destinations; staff noted extra buses on certain days and confirmed ongoing efforts to monitor ridership and report updated numbers at the next meeting.
