Iowa Falls board approves 2026–27 staff raises, superintendent pay increase draws abstention

Under the agreement the board also approved a 2% increase to all position bases and pool bases, an $873 increase to the generator base for Schedule B (new BA Pool — FY25 TSS1), and other classification adjustments included in the board’s operating-procedures updates. The minutes list a $0.75 hourly increase for paraprofessionals (projected new-hire rate $14.10) and a $5,185 increase labeled for “SBO” (7th/11 & $4,500 below average). The board record also lists an $11,110 increase for the superintendent’s base pay (noted in the minutes as moving that position’s projected rank within the NCC comparison). The motion carried 4–0 with one abstention.
