Council announced the resignation of Library Director Barb CR, effective Nov. 1. Council members thanked her for 14 years with the library, including 10 as director, and approved a motion to accept the resignation, thank her for her service, and commence recruitment for the position.
Members discussed the department-head nature of the role (30 hours per week) and agreed to advertise immediately. Council considered asking one or two council members and library board members to participate on the interview committee, and noted Barb CR offered to assist with the transition and training if needed.
The motion to accept the resignation and begin the recruitment process was made, seconded and approved by voice vote.
