The Eldridge City Council approved three land‑use resolutions at the meeting, extending a long‑running preliminary plan and granting final‑plat and replat approvals for local subdivisions.
Jeff, a city planning representative, told the council that the Towns and Farms Phase 3 extension (Resolution 2025‑27) continues an approval condition first established in 2016 and would extend the phase area west to Buttermilk Road. Council members noted the extension has been approved multiple times and urged the developer to complete South Fifth Street within a year to avoid further renewals.
The council also approved Resolution 2025‑28 (Ivory Acres final plat), which adds a second entrance connecting the subdivision to Price Street and was unanimously recommended by the Planning and Zoning Commission on Sept. 25. Jeff said the plat includes singlestory three‑plex and four‑plex units and improvements that will increase local residential options.
Finally, the council adopted Resolution 2025‑29 approving a family replat for Boston Farms; Jeff said the replat consolidates several parcels into three larger parcels following a death in the family. Planning and Zoning had unanimously recommended approval. Each item passed on a roll call vote.
