During its May 27 meeting the Box Elder County Commission approved several routine items including a contract with the Utah Horse Pullers Association, a Utah Weed Supervisor Association grant and the Warrant Register.
Fairgrounds Manager Jan Rhodes asked the commission to approve Contract #26-23 to host the Utah Horse Pullers Association at the county fair; the board approved the contract by unanimous roll call. Weed Supervisor Wyatt Freeze presented Grant Contract #26-24 with the Utah Weed Supervisors Association for $8,500 to coordinate noxious-weed control; the grant was approved.
The Commission also signed the Warrant Register covering claim numbers 129685–129733 ($528,321.20) and 129633–129684 ($461,582.98) with one voided claim noted. A list of personnel compensation changes, separations and volunteer forms was recorded in the minutes.
