A resident who identified herself only as Alice urged the council to rescind a short‑term rental permit issued to a property she named at 975 Dickens Court. Alice said neighbors reported repeated late‑night parties, as many as eight cars in driveways, blocked sidewalks, loud behavior into the early morning hours, and at least four police calls. She said neighbors supplied video evidence and raised concerns that the permit holder appears to operate multiple STRs. "I respectfully request rescinding this permit," she said.
Alan Marlin, another speaker, praised the Livermore Mobile Evaluation Team — a local alternative response unit pairing counselors with officers — and commended staff named in the comments for their training and de‑escalation work. He urged continued prioritization of community‑based responses to reduce incarceration and repeated emergency calls.
City staff did not take formal action on the Alice comment at the meeting. Planning and neighborhood preservation staff are the appropriate points of contact for code enforcement or permit appeals, and the council did not vote on this item during the hearing.
