Eldridge City Council voted unanimously to adopt three ordinances on their third and final readings. Ordinance 2025‑22 amends pool and spa fencing requirements; Ordinance 2025‑23 updates which intersections are controlled by stop signs across the city; and Ordinance 2025‑24 defines electric scooters and establishes local regulations for their use.
Council conducted roll calls for each ordinance. Councilmembers recorded affirmative votes on all three items and each ordinance was declared passed. The readings drew little debate at the meeting and were advanced as part of the evening’s business agenda.
The council did not attach additional conditions or amendments during the readings. The ordinances will take effect according to the dates specified in each ordinance document, or as provided by state or municipal rules governing ordinance implementation.
