Treynor Community School District board adopts policies, schedules hearings and approves assistant golf coach stipend

The Treynor Community School District Board of Directors approved several procedural and personnel actions at its Feb. 9, 2026 regular meeting, including adoption of policy updates, scheduling public hearings and adding a shared assistant golf coach.

The board voted unanimously to approve the second reading and adopt Board Policies in the 604 and 605 series after a motion by Ms. Olson and second by Mr. Wilkie. The board also set a public hearing on the 2026–2027 school calendar for March 9, 2026, at 6:30 P.M. in the High School Flex Room (motion by Ms. Olson; second by Mr. Wilkie) and set the first public hearing for the 2026–2027 Certified Budget for March 23, 2026, at 5:00 P.M. in the High School Flex Room (motion by Mr. Wilkie; second by Ms. Olson). All three motions carried unanimously.

On a separate personnel motion, Ms. Olson moved to approve the addition of a shared assistant boys and girls golf coach for the 2026 season with a stipend of $1,785. Mr. Waggoner seconded; the motion carried with Mr. Wilkie recorded as an abstention. The board did not provide a roll-call tally in the minutes beyond noting the abstention.

Earlier in the meeting the board had approved the consent agenda, which included minutes, bills, financial statements, fundraising requests, open enrollment requests and personnel items. That motion was moved by Mr. Waggoner, seconded by Ms. Olson and carried unanimously.

The board set its next regular meeting for Monday, March 9, 2026, at 6:30 P.M. in the High School Flex Room.
