St. Lawrence County opens bids for Emergency Services Communications project; four firms submit offers

Kerr recorded bids from Pyramid ($397,940), Mid-State Communications ($529,250), Patriot Towers ($344,029) and Shoemaker Construction ($494,500). For each submission she confirmed receipt of the bid bond and the signed non-collusion page. "The first bid is from Pyramid. Okay, their bid is 397,940," Kerr said while reading the record; a meeting participant also confirmed paperwork for Patriot Towers.
The bid opening was a procedural step to record offers and the accompanying surety and non-collusion documentation; Kerr did not announce any awards or recommendations. The county did not take a vote or direct staff to award a contract during the session.
Kerr closed the item after reading the submissions and paperwork. She invited anyone with questions to follow up: "If anybody has any questions, just give us a call." The county will proceed with its internal procurement review and any required evaluations or procurement rules before selecting a contractor.
