Kalona council approves routine items, engages PFM and OKs Red Cross facility‑use agreement

Schmidt) and approved the American Red Cross Kalona Community Center Facility Use Agreement (motion by Beran; second by Bender). Both motions carried with all members voting yes.
The bills list included payments to utility and service vendors and internal transfers among funds; detailed line‑item payments were provided in the meeting materials. The council did not alter those bills at the meeting.
The financial advisory engagement authorizes staff to proceed with contracting PFM for advisory services; the Red Cross agreement allows the organization to use the Kalona Community Center in unforeseen events.
