Trustees approve JK Muir contract for Delhi Park walking paths (Resolution 2026-67)

The Delhi Township Board of Trustees on June 24 adopted Resolution 2026-67 authorizing the Township Administrator to enter into a contract with JK Muir Corporation to install new asphalt walking paths over existing paths at Delhi Park and to add a concrete pad.
Randy Suber, Parks and Recreation staff, told the board the township followed the grant and procurement process and recommended accepting JK Muir’s bid. "JK Muir is the ones that put it in and we're accepting theirs tonight if you pass it and we'll move forward with our progress," Suber said.
Trustees voted to dispense with the second reading and to adopt the resolution by voice roll call. Parks staff reported a pre-construction meeting had already taken place and said the project is ready to move to construction planning. Suber also announced the township’s pickleball league will start in July, an AED for the lodge is arriving, and staff will install additional signage clarifying park rules for e-bikes and scooters.
Why it matters: the work upgrades walking infrastructure in Delhi Park, supports recreation and safety (new concrete pad and ADA considerations), and proceeds under a grant-funded process. The board’s action authorizes the administrator to finalize the contracting step so construction planning can proceed.
