Brown Deer reports 190 students enrolled in summer school; meals and leadership named

Administrators reported 190 students enrolled in the 2025–26 summer program (134 elementary, 56 middle; high school final count pending). The district will provide breakfast and lunch and named site leaders for elementary, middle and high school programs.
Dr. Glass told the board the district’s Foster Academic Accountability summer school program has 190 students enrolled for 2025–26: 134 at the elementary school and 56 at the middle school; high-school totals are pending final exam grades. The district will provide breakfast and lunch to students attending summer school and will publicize meal availability.
Dr. Glass said Morgan Conurs will lead the elementary program, Rebecca Kershman will lead the middle-school program and Damian Woods will lead the high-school program. Officials said final high-school enrollment numbers will be available after exams are graded and credits are calculated.
Board members asked about meal-posting on social media; administrators said they would publicize meal availability and site status.
