The Huxley City Council adopted the proposed annual budget for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2026, and approved the city's Capital Improvements Plan for the same period following a brief public hearing April 22.
Mayor David Kuhn opened the public hearing for the proposed FY 2026 budget and CIP at 6:03 p.m.; hearing was closed at 6:04 p.m. after the council heard no public comments. Councilmember Mulder moved to close the public hearing and to approve the budget; Councilmember Rigler seconded. The motion to adopt Resolution No. 25-035 to approve the proposed FY 2026 annual budget passed with Ayes: Mulder, Roberts, Rigler, Echer and Murphy, Nays: none.
Council then approved Resolution No. 25-036 adopting the proposed capital improvements plan for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2026, on a unanimous vote (motion by Councilmember Echer; second by Councilmember Mulder). The minutes record no public objections during the hearing.
The approvals finalize the city's spending plan and capital priorities for the fiscal year that ends June 30, 2026. The council adjourned at 6:54 p.m.
