Three ordinance measures affecting land use and development were placed on the township agenda for further review and a scheduled second reading.
Mayor Michael Mikulski informed the public that Ordinance 2020-08 would repeal Ordinance 2019-06 and amend Chapters 10 (Mobile Home and Mobile Home Parks), 12 (Land Development) and 19 (Pinelands Development). Ordinance 2020-09 would amend Chapters 12 and 19 regarding permitted and conditional uses, and Ordinance 2020-11 would amend Chapters 12 and 19 regarding garages. The ordinances have been forwarded to the Southampton Planning Board and the Pinelands Commission for review, and the committee set Nov. 17, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. for second reading and public comment.
No final action on the ordinances was taken at the Oct. 20 meeting; the second-reading hearing will give the public and reviewing agencies an opportunity to comment before the committee votes.
Members who spoke during the agenda item voted earlier to approve minutes and procedural matters; the ordinances themselves remain in the review stage.
