District approves operational upgrades: force-main flushing, lift-station sampler and awning repair

Staff also presented a Poshgen Electric proposal to upgrade the force-main flushing program with a hardware/software interface to schedule automated flushes of a 30-inch force main. Staff described it as a one-time fee that provides an adjustable HMI screen and agreed procedure; the board approved the program modification and the stated cost of $13,680.
Finally, operations staff reported storm damage to an awning at the main lift station and presented two repair options; the board authorized repair or replacement not to exceed $1,979 depending on frame condition. Staff noted the awning had been recovered from a river and the frame would be inspected before deciding the repair path.
Each approval was taken by voice vote; staff will confirm warranty terms for the sampler, implement the flushing upgrade and schedule the awning work as appropriate.
