Prepaid special‑education tuition: Miss Sheridan requested authorization to prepay out‑of‑district special‑education tuition consistent with Massachusetts law. The committee approved a budget transfer to cover prepaids not to exceed $361,970.21.
Policy approvals and manual: The committee waived second readings where appropriate and approved policy ADF (wellness), CHCA (handbook approval and directives) and ECAB (access to buildings and grounds). The committee also voted to approve the annual Foxboro Public Schools policy manual. Several members noted minor clerical edits and the need to include the appropriate Massachusetts General Laws (MGL) citation on relevant policies before final publication.
All of the listed items were approved by recorded voice votes noted in the meeting as 5–0. Committee members said the actions are part of routine annual governance and budget management.
Next steps: policy subcommittee will incorporate clerical and statutory citations before the final posted versions; the superintendent’s office will process the authorized prepaid budget transfer.
