The proposed amendment updates the text to show the current five-member composition and sets a three-member quorum. Mr. McCoy said the UDC also contains a provision requiring the commission to meet 10 times per year; staff recommended removing that mandate so meeting frequency can be driven by business needs. The proposal also includes language to allow alternate members, and commissioners discussed how alternates might be engaged and recruited.
The commission voted to recommend the amendment to the city council.
