Board rescinds prior risk-pool action and approves staff hiring request
Summary
Late in the meeting the board voted unanimously to rescind a prior resolution concerning the county's risk pool and authorized the county administrator to notify the pool the county intends to remain for another year; the board also approved refilling a vacated building planning and economic development staff position.
After returning from executive session, the Franklin County Board of Commissioners amended the agenda to add two items and approved both by unanimous voice vote.
First, the board rescinded a previously filed resolution regarding the Washington County Risk Pool and authorized the county administrator to send a letter indicating the county intends to remain in the risk pool for another year. Second, the board approved a hiring request from the building planning and economic development director (Wes McCartor) to refill a vacated staff position and authorized recruitment.
Both motions were moved, seconded and approved unanimously; the clerk recorded the voice votes as "I" for each member present. Staff will execute the administrator'directed correspondence with the risk pool and the planning director will proceed with recruitment as authorized.
