The Camden County Solid Waste Authority voted to adopt its annual budget for the period July 1, 2026'June 30, 2027 after a staff presentation at a special called session of the county commission.
Lisa, county staff, told commissioners the Solid Waste Authority budget covers both the solid waste fund and the curbside collection fund and said, "the budget is, if you'll see there, it's 6,872,607." She said the budgets had been advertised and a public hearing held on June 11.
A commissioner moved to approve the Solid Waste Authority budgets; the motion was seconded and the board recorded the motion as carried. There were no public commenters signed up during the Solid Waste Authority portion of the meeting.
The authority returned the session to the county commission to continue the special called agenda.
