Camden County election board pre-certifies June 16 runoff; two UOCAVA ballots remain outstanding

Acting Superintendent Carter told the board, "Yes, ma'am, we have," when asked whether the office had compared the list of voters who participated with those who received credit for voting. After a motion and second, the board voted to pre-certify the runoff; no members recorded opposition during the roll call on the motion.
Carter also reported there were no provisional ballots that required board approval. On outstanding UOCAVA ballots, Carter said, "We have two. However, one person we cannot get in contact with, and the other is saying that they will not be sending their ballot." The board did not take further action on the two outstanding UOCAVA ballots during the meeting.
The pre-certification clears the administrative step of confirming the participation list; any additional challenges or legal filings would follow existing county procedures. The meeting recessed at 3:10 p.m. and is scheduled to resume later in the day.
