Scout curator proposes Eagle Scout project to replace Brooklands Park sign

Pineiro said the estate is where Daniel Carter Beard, a founder of the Boy Scouts, passed away and that a new sign could honor that connection. Mayor Lance N. Millman responded that the board cannot act on an Eagle Scout project until the Eagle Scout candidate presents the proposal; Pineiro said he will have a candidate submit the project once identified.
No formal application or vote occurred at the meeting; Pineiro’s remarks were entered during the public‑comment portion of the agenda.
