The Ossining Village Board adopted Local Law 7-2026, an amendment to chapter 62 of the village code governing affordable housing, following a public hearing previously held on June 3.
The adoption, approved by roll call at the meeting, directs that the local law be filed with the state and specifies it will take effect upon that filing pursuant to the Municipal Home Rule Law. The board also adopted revised affordable-housing rules and regulations that implement the new law and made those rules effective June 17, 2026.
Board members indicated there was no procedural impediment to adoption after the public hearing had closed. The roll call recorded votes in favor by Trustee Frrier, Trustee White, Deputy Mayor Lopez and the mayor, and the resolutions were placed on the record for filing as required by law.
The adopted law and the implementing rules will be posted and distributed in accordance with statutory requirements. No substantive amendments to the text were recorded on the public minutes at the meeting; the board directed staff to complete any further ministerial steps necessary to finalize filings with the Secretary of State.
