York Board of Education approves contracts, recognizes bargaining agent and accepts two teacher retirements

The board recognized the York Education Association (YEA) as the exclusive bargaining agent for certificated teaching staff for the 2027–28 contract year. Matt Holthe, a board member, made the motion to approve recognition; Brien Alley, a board member, seconded the motion. The board recorded affirmative roll-call votes and the motion passed.
