Audit committee reappoints chair, accepts audit and adjourns
Summary
During the same meeting the Houston County Audit Committee reappointed its chair by voice vote, accepted the comptroller's audit findings for fiscal 2015, and adjourned after brief public comment and housekeeping items.
At the start of the meeting the Houston County Audit Committee took nominations for chair and reappointed the incumbent. One member nominated themself, another seconded, members responded “Aye” on a voice vote, and the nominee accepted the role.
Later in the meeting the committee moved, seconded and voted by voice to accept the comptroller’s audit findings for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2015. With no further business, a member moved to adjourn, the motion was seconded, the committee voted “Aye” and the meeting was adjourned.
Public comment included a request from a resident for copies of the audit handouts because they could not hear the presentation; staff agreed to provide copies.
