The council approved a $1,200 appropriation from the Courthouse Monument Maintenance Fund to install lighting at the POW‑MIA monument (motion Doug Uebelhor; second Ryan Craig). In the LIT‑ED Fund, the council approved a $500,000 Personal Services appropriation for health insurance (motion Ryan Craig; second Sonya Haas). The minutes record all listed motions as carried unanimously.
Auditor Morton also requested several transfers within the General Fund: $200 from Conferences to Supplies for Weights & Measures; $6,000 from Utilities to Supplies for Community Corrections maintenance; and $4,000 from Utilities to Personal Services for part‑time maintenance in Community Corrections. All transfers were moved by Ryan Craig, seconded and carried unanimously.
These actions adjust the county’s 2025/2026 appropriation schedule and allow departments to proceed with necessary purchases and maintenance. The council set a public hearing and adoption schedule for the 2026 budget at subsequent meetings.
