Kluesner said design work by Clark Dietz remains underway and the county has been approved for $1 million from the State Revolving Fund (SRF), with that award available until spring 2026. The council discussed coordination with the City of Jasper on capacity and usage and emphasized efforts to keep monthly household fees affordable for residents.
President Kluesner requested approval to advertise an additional appropriation of $15,000 from the LIT‑ED fund to continue the Baker Tilly contract; the council reached a consensus to proceed with advertising the appropriation. The minutes do not record a formal motion and seconder for that advertising step.
Next steps: advertising the appropriation will permit the county to request the supplemental funds formally at a future meeting if needed; design, capacity and fee decisions will continue to be subject to further study and intergovernmental discussions.
