Harrison Township commissioners approve $357,675 in bills, ratify equipment purchases and Comcast fiber

The Harrison Township Board of Commissioners on April 28 approved bills totaling $357,675.69, ratified several equipment purchases using a Local Share Account (LSA) Equipment Grant and authorized Comcast to bring fiber to the township building.

Commissioner Charles Dizard moved to approve the warrants list dated April 25, 2025, for $357,675.69; Commissioner Jamie Nee seconded the motion and it carried unanimously. Commissioners subsequently approved minutes from the March 24, 2025 meeting on a unanimous vote.

The board ratified technology purchases paid from the LSA Equipment Grant: computers and monitors from Dell for $8,337.10, and a server from Link Computer Corporation for $22,349.98. Commissioners also ratified the purchase of Tasers from Axon for $72,472.70; those purchases were authorized and carried on unanimous votes.

Commissioner James Erb moved, with Commissioner Nee seconding, to authorize a Comcast agreement to extend fiber service to the township building; the motion passed unanimously. The board made no further public amendment to the terms of the Comcast agreement during the meeting.

All motions presented under New Business were approved by recorded voice votes in open session with Commissioner Gary Meanor, Commissioner Jamie Nee, Commissioner Charles Dizard, Commissioner James Erb and Commissioner Bengel voting in favor. No recorded dissents, abstentions or roll-call breakdowns beyond the unanimous results were provided in the minutes.

The meeting record notes the purchases are to be paid from the LSA Equipment Grant; no alternate funding sources were reported during the discussion.
