Shonda told the council she will pilot a weekend breakfast service, running roughly 9 a.m. to noon for an initial trial. She described a limited, craft-focused menu — including a 'brunch burger', a ham-and-cheese French-toast–style sandwich with an over-easy egg, and a breakfast sandwich lineup — and said a Bloody Mary bar would be available.
The owner said the restaurant ran an invite-only practice run, which drew positive feedback and a mix of regulars and visitors. Shonda said the rollout will be deliberate: initial promotion via social media and signage, followed by radio advertising and Google updates once staff feel comfortable with operations.
Councilmembers and other speakers complimented the concept and noted a local shortage of breakfast options. The owner emphasized keeping food fresh (not hot-held) and keeping the offering intentionally simple to avoid kitchen overload. Shonda said the weekend pilot will allow staff to work out menu and point-of-sale issues before a broader marketing push.
The council registered support and thanked the owner for the initiative; no formal action was required.
