Staff presented the proposed fees-and-charges schedule for 2026, noting the required water-connection increase (item 45) which raised the annual amount cited in the draft to $1,522. Staff said notices had been sent to affected connections and explained the municipal practice of billing the state connection fee in an annual lump sum rather than monthly. Other items under review included dog-licensing, rental-inspection fees and campsite rentals; staff said they had not yet received a final contract figure from a vendor (Andy) on certain rental-inspection contract costs that could affect items 18 and 19.
Council discussed office notary services and said the municipality charges $2 for public notary transactions done in the office; staff said the fee used to be $1 before the increase. Staff told the council they will place the fees-and-charges resolution on the Dec. 8 agenda for formal approval and to report any vendor-contract changes before that meeting.
The council did not take a final vote at this meeting; staff asked members to review the draft and provide any last-minute items before the December agenda.
