When the motion to proceed with the renovation was called, some members expressed confusion about whether a yes vote meant to move forward; after a roll-call process the chair recorded, “Motion fails.” The administration said it will provide additional options and cost estimates if the board wants to reconsider the scope of work.
The board’s decision leaves open the option to re-evaluate the site and bring alternative proposals or demolition/repurposing estimates back for consideration.
