Boyertown Area SD approves broad consent agenda including donations, program agreements and contracts

The Boyertown Area School District Board of School Directors approved the superintendent’s consent agenda at its June 23 legislative meeting, accepting donations and a series of program and service agreements the administration recommended.
The consent agenda included acknowledgments of donations from the Boyertown Foundation of Boyertown Education, an Elizabeth class donation, and the Pottstown Area Health and Wellness Foundation. Administrators also sought approval to continue a mutual agreement that allows six BCTC agricultural students to participate in a program hosted at OIE/High School; the administration cited the state annual tuition rate of $14,832 and a district-calculated share described during the meeting as $8,240.
The board was also presented with the 2026–27 food-service budget, which the administration said includes no increase in meal prices but a 25% increase in snack prices. Other consent-agenda items approved included pending budget transfers for fiscal-year closeout, tuition-rate schedules, recommended investment institutions, updates to district liability insurance, virtual-learning memoranda of understanding supported by federal pre-K grant funds (not from the general fund), recurring special-education agreements, a settlement agreement, and student-services contracts for counseling and outside agencies.
Administrators explained a one-year renewal to maintain an agricultural program previously hosted through BCTC, described the virtual-learning savings and the role of federal grants in pre-K funding, and noted an addendum to allow Kelly Services to provide extended-school-year coverage for a small number of ESY teachers.
The board moved to approve the entire consent agenda in a single roll-call vote and the motion passed with the recorded affirmative votes of the seven members present.
The consent agenda action clears the administrative items to move forward; several of the listed transfers and assignments will be brought back to the board as individual motions when final audited numbers are available.
The board scheduled a special legislative meeting for June 30 to set the district’s 2026–27 annual budget.
