Longswamp supervisors approve March payments and move ARPA balance to general fund

Chairman Don Hickman opened the meeting and the board reviewed the Treasurer's Report for February 2026 showing $3,069,554.14 in General Funds and $574,804.31 in additional funds for a total of $3,644,358.45. Mike Sacks moved to approve the report and Mark Hilbert seconded; the motion carried unanimously.
The board authorized processing of $245,475.77 in payments for the Feb. 11–Mar. 10 accounting period, including current disbursements of $129,390.27, interim disbursements of $11,685.50 and fund transfers of $74,018.76. The motion to approve processing passed on a roll-call vote with each supervisor voting yes.
Don Hickman reviewed a memo proposing several account changes: closure of the ARPA fund with its assets redirected to the General Fund; moving the Escrow Fund from PLGIT to Fleetwood Bank in a non-interest-bearing structure; and closing the Joint Municipal Fund with assets redirected to the General Fund. Mike Sacks moved to accept the changes as presented; Mark Hilbert seconded and the board approved the changes.
No public objections or recorded dissent accompanied the financial votes. The board's actions are administrative adjustments to township bookkeeping and bank arrangements; the minutes do not identify specific dollar amounts remaining in the ARPA or Joint Municipal funds.
