Staff also told the council the city had secured a $200,000 grant from PFA; they noted the paperwork and finalization of grant documents were still in process. A council member moved and the council seconded acceptance of the low bid; the motion carried by voice vote and the project was approved to proceed with the low bidder.
Council members commented on the spread of bids and asked whether the low bidder had worked with the city before; staff said they did not have that background information immediately available and would follow up.
