District Engineer Charlie Krebs presented a revised scope of work for the Seaside & Master Drainage Project, explaining the changes will make system adjustments easier for Mr. Long while preserving the original project intent; MRI expects to begin work within two to three weeks.
Mr. Krebs also presented additional costs from Irrigation Concepts to repair damaged wiring ($4,002.50) and to raise about seven to eight irrigation heads ($1,300 each). On a motion by Kurt Blumenthal, seconded by Bob Schultz, the board approved the Irrigation Concepts change order with a not‑to‑exceed amount of $15,000.
The board recorded the drainage scope update and authorized the irrigation repairs; Mr. Krebs indicated ancillary costs were expected and included in the recommendation to approve the change order.
