As part of a continuing traffic‑calming program, operations staff presented AV‑Tech LLC Estimates 24150 and 24151 for three permanent 15" solar speed radar signs, wiring and one mobile unit, and an annual cloud‑device service charge. The package included an option for a mobile unit Mr. Long suggested and cloud fees of $1,500 per device per year.
Mr. Long reported that moving one existing unit 20 to 30 yards could improve detection after it recorded about 800 varied speeding violations over a three‑week period. Staff said poles will be purchased from Paramount Asphalt at about $1,200 each.
On a motion by Mr. Schultz, seconded by Mr. Blumenthal, the board approved the AV‑Tech wiring and installation and cloud‑device package for a combined total of $105,000 (unanimous vote). The board discussed the HOA covering cloud‑device fees going forward and offsets through PSGRC covenant traffic‑fine revenues.
