The Goodhue City Council voted Dec. 17 to appoint City Administrator Lisa as the city’s regular representative to the North Zumro Sanitary Sewer District Joint Powers executive board and to confirm Public Works Director Jason as the alternate member with voting authority when Lisa is unavailable.
Council members discussed the arrangement as a way for the administrator to learn the district’s operations while relying on the Public Works director’s continuity and technical knowledge. Council indicated the appointment follows prior practice when the city administrator did not attend district meetings and the Public Works director served in that role. Legal review of the district paperwork was noted during the discussion.
The council approved Resolution 2424 by roll-call vote. Council members recorded affirmative votes during the roll call and the resolution was declared passed and adopted on Dec. 17, 2024.
The appointment takes effect immediately; city staff said the appointees will attend future North Zumro board meetings and participate in executive-board business as needed.
