Staff read precinct-level tallies for U.S. Senate, U.S. House (second congressional district), state representative (District 29), public service commissioner and a statewide judicial race, among others. The audit included checking machine counts, counting absentee ballots, and reconciling spoiled ballots. In one precinct the tally book initially omitted a Libertarian candidate's vote and staff corrected the record after checking the book.
Commissioners and clerks signed the appropriate pages of tally books and agreed to recheck a small precinct total that did not immediately reconcile. No contested results were recorded in the transcript; staff said they had completed precinct audits for the documented races and would follow up on the one discrepancy.
The board did not change any results at the meeting; the canvass work was procedural and focused on verifying counts and completing required signatures and paperwork.
