Councilmember A. Weiss moved to accept the resignation; T. Hildman seconded and the motion passed on a recorded all-aye vote. The council then voted to install Jordan Williams as interim police chief; A. Weiss moved the appointment and J. Moore seconded, with the motion carrying unanimously.
The minutes note that vacation payout for Tyler Harmon is governed by the police department contract and therefore required no separate council approval. Separately, the council approved carrying over Jordan Williams’s vacation hours for an additional year on a motion by A. Nelson, seconded by A. Weiss; that motion passed with all ayes.
