Prairie City Council sets hearings on water-main SRF review and rezoning, approves clerk laptop

St. John then moved to approve a resolution setting a public hearing for an SRF environmental review of Phase 3 of the city’s water-main project for Feb. 25, 2026. Council Member Derek Ingle seconded the motion, and the council approved the resolution unanimously on a roll call vote. The SRF (State Revolving Fund) environmental-review hearing is a procedural step typically required to meet funding and environmental-compliance conditions for state loan programs.
Council Member Joseph Disney moved to approve a resolution setting a Feb. 9, 2026 public hearing before the Prairie City Planning & Zoning Board to consider a rezoning request from Mitch Seiberling; Ingle seconded and the resolution carried unanimously on a roll call vote. The Planning & Zoning Board will hold the hearing on the rezoning application; no action on the rezoning was taken by the council at this meeting.
Council Member Derek Ingle moved to approve the purchase of a laptop for the City Clerk in the amount of $1,728.80; Council Member Beth James seconded and the motion passed unanimously on a roll call vote.
