CVB reports show lower visitation, updated grant rules and 300,000 website views

Susan Crowell reported year-to-date in-house visitor counts of 559, down from 805 at the same point the previous year, and 2,115 mail leads. She said the CVB website received about 300,000 views over the past year. Crowell also reported that all grants have been updated and uploaded to the CVB website and that the new grant materials include a checklist for applicants.
Crowell described a specific change to the docent-program grant rules: going forward the grants will cover only posted seasonal hours (April–Oct) and will cap pay at $16 per hour. She said one new grant application was received in time to be presented at this meeting; two other applications were returned to applicants pending more information. Crowell also reported attendance at recent regional meetings and conferences and ongoing maintenance of social media platforms despite algorithm changes. Mark Jordan summarized PR outreach items including recent magazine and media placements, PR host travel-writer activity and filming updates.
The board took no separate vote on the staffing reports; the information was entered into the record for follow up.
