Director Jeffrey Polkowski told commissioners during the pre-meeting that staff will present a moratorium on applications for data centers at the February meeting, signaling forthcoming deliberation over how the Township will handle those proposals.
Polkowski also introduced Sydney Lawson as a new Planning Commissioner who will begin in March; the minutes note she was sworn in at the Jan. 26 Board of Trustees meeting. The formal introduction was repeated during the regular meeting’s discussion section.
No public comment was made on either item during this meeting. The moratorium announcement signals a future agenda item that may affect developers seeking to bring data-center proposals to Waterford Township.
