Council approves liquor-store pay estimate and minor lighting change order

Staff presented pay estimate number seven for Project 1 Construction, Inc., covering substantial remaining work completed over the prior months. Council also reviewed change order number two, a request to add a few additional lighting fixtures toward the front of the building. Staff said retainage remains and a plumbing punch-list item and seating/grading items must still be completed before final payment.
A motion to approve pay estimate number seven in the amount presented and change order two carried after a second; one council member recorded opposition. Staff will continue to hold retainage until punch list items are resolved and will return with subsequent pay requests as appropriate.
