The Rundle Select Board on June 22 reviewed a new transfer station price list and discussed operational steps to implement credit-card payments, which the manager said would begin Aug. 1.
During the manager’s report, staff said a clean copy of the price list was provided to the board and that signage at the transfer station is already being posted. The manager told the board that the town will be prepared to accept credit cards and that attendants will be briefed on how to process visitors: vehicles with only ordinary household trash could be waved through while vehicles with fee-applicable items would be stopped for payment.
Board members pressed for clear public notice and for coordination of the entry shed and attendant workflow. The manager said he had spoken with Ben, who is coordinating operational changes and will work on advertising the new process. No formal vote on operational details was recorded; the board approved other agenda items later in the evening.
What happens next: staff will develop communication materials (website notices and texts) and finalize the entry-shed process before the Aug. 1 effective date.
