The Board of Works announced a single bid and moved to award the contract for a new water-supply well No. 27 at Northwell Field to Lane Water Resources for $379,821.
A staff report to the board said Lane Water Resources submitted the lone bid and that a bid bond and a non-collusion affidavit had been executed. Council members said the figure was lower than earlier planning estimates, which some described as around $500,000 to $600,000, and noted prior positive experience with Lane on local projects.
Councilman Dahl made the motion to award the bid to Lane Water Resources, and Councilwoman Ash seconded; the council indicated support to proceed. A board member asked whether funds were available for the project and staff indicated the project could move forward.
The board did not provide a detailed roll-call tally in the record; the motion carried by voice. Staff said the bid process had been advertised March 1 and March 8, 2025, for the Northwell Field well project and confirmed the administrative documents required by procurement were on file.
Next steps discussed included coordinating scheduling with the contractor and proceeding once contractual paperwork is complete.
