Big Bear City CSD approves $180,000 flatbed truck to aid water operations and AMI work

On April 6, 2026 the Big Bear City Community Services District Board of Directors approved Resolution 2026-11 authorizing purchase of a water department flatbed truck budgeted at $180,000.
Finance Officer Jeanette Prickett told the board that the FY 2024/25 Water Department budget had approved the flatbed purchase and the $180,000 request was carried over to the current fiscal period. Prickett said the vehicle will assist crews working on leaks in tight spaces and support installation of the district’s automated metering infrastructure. Staff answered board questions; no public comment was made on the item.
Director Larry Walsh moved to adopt Resolution 2026-11; Director JoKay Rowe seconded. The motion carried unanimously (AYES: B. Rowe, J. Rowe, Russo, Walsh, Ziegler). The minutes refer readers to Resolution and Ordinance Book Number 37 for the full resolution text.
