The district being dissolved was defined in the order as the consolidated levy districts covering the City of Red Lodge, the Town of Bearcreek, Red Lodge Rural Fire District #7 and Roberts Rural Fire District #6, including the communities of Roberts and Luther. The board directed County staff to transmit Order 2025-01 to the Montana Secretary of State and the Montana Department of Revenue.
Next steps noted in the order include completing the paperwork required by state offices and transferring identified assets to Red Lodge Rural Fire District #7. The board recorded the order in its minutes and entered it as official business for July 15, 2025.
