Alburnett council approves special event, bank authorization, hires, pump purchase and GIS renewal

Applicant Nancy Fuller described the eventmotorcycles and Jeep club participationand presented a barricade and detour plan. Bank authorization: By motion the council adopted Resolution 2024 D22 to update Farmer State Bank account authorizations and safe-deposit access. The resolution as read lists Mayor Bethany Saron and Mayor Pro Tem Chris Meers as authorized signatories and adds City Clerk Vicky Kula to safe-deposit access.
Fire department staffing: The council approved applications for two new volunteer firefighters as recommended by the chief (names in packet read as "Sydney gtis" and Tyler Hansen).
Infrastructure and contracts: The council approved purchase of a replacement lift-station pump from Quality Flow Systems for $2,980 plus tax after staff reported an irreparably deteriorated 22-year-old pump.
